A Year of News at Kusini Beach Cottages
2025 was an exciting year for us at Kusini Beach Cottages, as we introduced several new additions that we’re thrilled to share with everyone. It was a year where we focused on enhancing the Kusini experience, making your stays even more memorable and comfortable.
We’ve added new layers of enjoyment, from the launch of Club Kusini to the opening of our rooftop bar. Each of these additions was made with you in mind, to bring you even closer to that perfect getaway.
Club Kusini
Our Loyalty Program
In 2025, we proudly introduced Club Kusini, our new loyalty program crafted especially for our returning guests and those who want to become a regular part of the Kusini experience. Club Kusini is all about rewarding those who choose to return to us, offering them a range of exclusive perks and a true sense of belonging.
After spending just five nights with us, guests are automatically welcomed into Club Kusini. From that point on, they enjoy a 10% discount on all future stays, a complimentary branded Kikoy towel as a welcome gift, and special discounts on everything from drinks at our bar to local activities like scuba diving and kitesurfing.
Club Kusini isn’t just a membership—it’s a way of saying thank you to our loyal guests, making each return feel like coming home. It’s our commitment to deepening the bond we share and ensuring every visit is even more special than the last.
The High Rock Beach Bar
Another proud addition in 2025 was the unveiling of the High Rock Beach Bar at Kusini Beach Cottages. We wanted to give our guests a place to unwind and indulge right on-site, and the High Rock Bar is exactly that. It’s more than just a bar; it’s a private lounge space with an incredible view over the entire beach, offering a perfect spot to sip on cocktails, enjoy ice creams, and treat yourself to a range of beverages without ever leaving the comfort of Kusini.
This addition is all about enhancing the self-catering experience, giving our guests their own private lounge to relax and socialize. Families can let their kids watch movies in the lounge area, while adults enjoy the stunning views and laid-back atmosphere. It’s our way of making your stay at Kusini even more delightful, creating a space where you can make memories right on our rooftop.
In addition to the new bar, 2025 also saw us renovating our pool Banda to give our guests an even more enjoyable space to relax. We upgraded the entire structure, making it an even cozier and more inviting spot for guests to unwind by the pool. It was all part of making sure that every corner of Kusini is as comfortable and delightful as possible.

Bringing Cool Comfort
Introducing Air Conditioning in 2026
In 2026, we’re taking another step to enhance your comfort at Kusini Beach Cottages by introducing air conditioning. This is part of our commitment to meeting our guests’ evolving needs and adding that extra touch of cool comfort. We’ve started by fitting the first unit in our Kaskazi Cottage, and we’ll be gradually expanding air conditioning throughout the compound.
We’re taking a gradual approach because Kusini has its own old-school charm, and we want to preserve that character. Adding air conditioning means carefully renovating rooms to make them air conditioning-friendly without disrupting the vintage feel or the comfort of our guests. It’s a thoughtful process, and we’re making sure it fits seamlessly into the Kusini experience. So while Kaskazi is the first to be fully air-conditioned, we’re excited to extend this comfort step by step across Kusini in the coming year.
Opening Our Doors Even Wider to Local Guests
Another key focus for 2026 is our continued commitment to local and domestic tourism. We recognize that travel trends are shifting, with more families and couples choosing meaningful escapes closer to home. With this in mind, Kusini Beach Cottages has carefully reviewed and updated our local pricing.
These revised domestic rates are aimed at making Kusini more accessible to Kenyan residents, while still maintaining the comfort, quality, and overall experience our guests value. We want to give local families, couples, and groups more opportunities to enjoy time by the ocean, slow down, reconnect, and create lasting memories.
